BABY CARE ADVISE
- Recommended room temperature for baby is 16-20 degrees, but don't let your baby get too hot or cold. Check for sweating or feel their tummy if you think they may be too hot. Do not worry if their hands are cold this is normal,
- It is easier to adjust baby's temperature with changes of lightweight layers. Remember that a doubled blanket ir sheets counts as two layers.
- Bed clothes should be securely tucked under the mattress and come no higher than your baby's shoulders.
- Baby should sleep on a firm, clean, dry mattress.
- Lie your baby on their back to sleep form birth, keep their head uncovered and place your baby in the "feet to foot" position.
- A smoke free environment is best for your baby.
- Avoid falling asleep on the sofa with your baby.
- If your baby is unwell seek prompt medical advice.
